Rabbi Yossi Vorovitch was born in 1992 and raised in Toronto, Canada. His parents, respected leaders in the local Jewish community, instilled in him and his siblings a deep sense of love, commitment, and responsibility toward the Jewish people.

Rabbi Yossi studied at the Lubavitch Yeshivah in Cincinnati during his high school years. He continued his Rabbinical studies at prestigious institutions, including a Rabbinical College in Israel, the Central Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brooklyn, and the Kollel Institute in Brooklyn. He received his Rabbinical Ordination in 2015 from Rabbi Zalman Labkowski.

Chaya Vorovitch (Nee Nemni) was born in 1994 and raised in London, England, where she was nurtured in a vibrant Jewish community that helped shape her values of dedication, kindness, and responsibility. She grew alongside the community, celebrating its milestones as her own.

After graduating high school in 2012, Chaya continued her education at Beis Chana Seminary in Tzfat, Israel, where she earned a degree in Jewish Education. She then spent a year in Martinique, teaching and helping run the local Chabad Jewish Centre, followed by a year in New York, mentoring and teaching at Machon Le’Yehadus College for Women.

In March 2016, Chaya married Rabbi Yossi Vorovitch. They lived in Brooklyn, New York, until the fall of 2017. In October 2017, they moved to Georgina, Ontario, with the goal of building and nurturing Jewish life in the region.

Together with their five children, Rabbi Yossi and Chaya have been proudly serving the Georgina Jewish community ever since—offering Hebrew school and adult education classes, guiding lifecycle events from bris circumcisions to funerals, and creating engaging programs for Jews of all ages and backgrounds.

Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s vision to prepare the world for the coming of Moshiach, they are devoted to sharing the warmth, joy, and beauty of Judaism, and to ensuring every Jew in Georgina feels welcomed, supported, and connected.
